The committee on lights shall have the general supervision of the lighting of the streets, parks, public grounds and public buildings of the City of Beardstown. They shall examine and report to the city council on claims upon the bills and accounts for lights furnished the said city. This committee shall from time to time report to the city council such changes in the system of lighting in the said city as it may deem necessary for proper lighting of the said city.
